We are in Spain, the land of the wintering sun-worshippers. We entered La Jonquera (Spain) on the hilly cross road over the green border La Frontiera (France) adventurously. We dream of light MTBs while enjoying the landscape.
From there we drive to the Catalan coast.

According to Tossa de Mar, it is sobering. The beautiful Mediterranean coast is, where possible, built with apartment blocks full of condominiums. Everything secured and in sunny October 90% empty. Huge campsites and resorts with cottages for rent and camper pitches. Our tent has not seen a beautiful lawn for a long time – always just dust, sand or gravel. Shops, bars and restaurants closed. Ghost towns. We are looking for the few pearls.
